Add a New Supplier
Use this when you need to add a supplier, such as a subcontractor company, so it can be selected on a site and, where needed, receive onboarding requests for supplier documents. This is commonly done during account setup or when a new subcontractor begins work on a site.
What this means
- A supplier is created at the company level, then linked to a specific site using the site’s Suppliers area
- Once linked to a site, the supplier can be used in site workflows (for example, selecting a supplier during setup)
When you’ll use this
- You are setting up a new customer account and need a test supplier available on the sandbox site
- A site has started using a new subcontractor and you need them added to the site’s supplier list
Step-by-step
Common issues
Supplier does not appear in the list
What to check
- The supplier may not have been added at the company level yet
- You may be in the wrong site or viewing templates instead of sites
What to do
- Add the supplier first using Add Supplier, then return to New and link them to the site
- Confirm you are inside the correct site (not a template)
I can see the supplier but cannot add or edit anything
What to check
- Your role may not have the right permissions for supplier management
What to do
- Ask a Full Admin or Company Host to update your access, or have them add the supplier for you
Why this matters
- Suppliers must be set up correctly so site teams can select the right company during site workflows
- A clean supplier list helps prevent onboarding delays and avoids duplicate suppliers being created
