Assign a Supplier to a Site
Use this to connect an existing supplier to a specific site in Breadcrumb, giving them access to that site's supplier documents and onboarding workflows.
What this means
- A supplier must exist at the company level first; then you can add it to individual sites.
- Adding a supplier to a site makes that supplier available in the site’s supplier list and related supplier workflows for that site.
When you’ll use this
- A supplier is working on a specific site and needs to be included in that site’s supplier register.
- A site team needs to manage supplier docs for a subcontractor on one site (without changing other sites).
Step-by-step
Common issues
Supplier doesn’t appear in the list
The supplier likely isn’t in the company-level supplier directory yet, or you don’t have permission to add suppliers to a site.
What to check
-
Confirm the supplier exists at the company level and your user role includes supplier management access for the site.
What to do
-
Create the supplier at the company level (if missing), or update your permissions and try again.
I can’t add a supplier to the site
This is usually a permissions issue.
What to check
-
Confirm you have site admin/host access and supplier management permissions for the site.
What to do
-
Ask a company admin to grant the required access, or have them add the supplier on your behalf.
Why this matters
- Keeps each site’s supplier register accurate, so supplier documents and onboarding are managed against the correct site.
- Helps avoid documents, emails, or onboarding requests going to the wrong supplier.
