Create a Site Briefing Form

Use this to create a Site Briefing form template for daily pre-starts, toolbox talks, and other on-site briefings. This is usually set up during account onboarding, then added to the relevant site(s) so site teams can access and complete it.

What this means

  • A Site Briefing form is a form type designed for communicating important site information to workers and capturing sign-off/acknowledgement.
  • You build the template in Forms (Editor), then assign it to specific sites so it’s available to complete.

When you’ll use this

  • When setting up a new account and the customer wants digital daily pre-starts or toolbox talks.
  • When a customer has an existing Word/PDF briefing template they want replicated (or attached) in Breadcrumb.

Step-by-step

    Common issues

    Form not visible on site

    • Check: The form is added/assigned to the correct site and the form status is active.

    • Do: Add the form to the site (or confirm it’s included in the site template and the site was created from that template), then refresh and retest.

Users can see it but can’t complete it

    • Check: Visitor type limits or permissions may restrict who can complete the form.

    • Do: Update the “limit by visitor type” setting (or related permission settings) and retest with the correct user type.

Briefings aren’t expiring the way the customer expects

    • Check: Default expiry setting (no expiry vs end of day/week/month).

    • Do: Update the default expiry to match the workflow (daily pre-starts usually need end-of-day expiry).

    Why this matters

    • Helps standardise daily safety communication and ensure workers acknowledge key site information.
    • Creates an auditable record of what was communicated and who signed off.
