Deactivate or Reactivate an Induction
Use this when an induction needs to be temporarily taken out of use by marking it as inactive, or made available again by reactivating it. This helps control whether the induction is currently shown and used going forward.
What this means
- Deactivating an induction makes it inactive so it won’t be used going forward.
- Reactivating an induction makes it active again so it can be used going forward.
When you’ll use this
- When you no longer want a specific induction in use (for example it’s been replaced)
- When you accidentally deactivated an induction and needs it turned back on
- When troubleshooting and needs to confirm which inductions are active vs inactive
Step-by-step
Common issues
Induction isn’t visible in the list
-
Switch Display Mode between Active and Inactive to find it.
Customer says workers “can’t see the induction”
-
Confirm the relevant induction is active (and, if they’re using multiple inductions, that the intended one is the one that’s active).
Why this matters
- Prevents workers completing the wrong or outdated induction
- Keeps the induction experience clean and avoids confusion during check-in
Need help?
If you’re unsure whether to deactivate, clarify whether the customer wants the induction removed from future use (deactivate) or just updated (edit instead).
