Edit an Induction Form
Use this when a customer needs to update an existing induction form, such as changing the questions, workflow, expiry settings, approval process, or supporting documents. These changes affect what future workers will complete, while inductions that have already been completed and approved remain unchanged.
What this means
- “Editing an induction” means updating the induction setup (settings) and/or the questions and content inside the induction form.
- Changes apply to workers who have not started the induction yet; previously completed inductions are not updated.
When you’ll use this
- You want to add, remove, or reword induction questions
- You need to change induction settings like expiry, approval mode, who it applies to, or when it can be completed
- You want to add or update supporting documents (for example a PDF) shown inside the induction
Step-by-step
Common issues
Edits aren’t showing up for someone who already completed the induction
-
Edits only affect workers who have not started the induction yet. Completed inductions will not be changed.
Expiry setup causes a bottleneck
-
If expiry is set to a fixed calendar date (for example end of year), many workers can expire at once. Consider a rolling custom expiry (for example 365 days) if that better fits your company's requirements.
Why this matters
- Keeps induction requirements accurate and compliant as site rules and documentation change
- Reduces delays during check-in by ensuring workers see the right questions and documents upfront
Need help?
If you’re not sure which settings to change, confirm what the customer wants to achieve (who should complete the induction, when they should complete it, whether it needs approval, and how often it should expire), then update the induction to match.
