Manually Add Projects to Breadcrumb

If your Procore integration uses manual sync, new Procore projects will not appear in Breadcrumb automatically. This guide explains how a Procore Admin can give Breadcrumb access to additional projects so they can be included in future syncs.

What this means

  • “Manually add projects” means you choose which Procore projects Breadcrumb is allowed to access, rather than syncing every new project automatically.
  • When you permit a new project in Procore, Breadcrumb can then pull that project through during the next sync window.

When you’ll use this

  • A new Procore project has started and it is not showing in Breadcrumb
  • You added the Breadcrumb app to Procore, but only selected a few projects during setup and now need to add more
  • Breadcrumb is syncing companies, users, or logs for existing projects, but a specific new project is missing and needs to be added.

Step-by-step

Common issues

Project still not showing in Breadcrumb after adding permissions

What to check

  • Confirm the project was added to the Breadcrumb app’s permitted projects list (not just created in Procore).

What to do

  • Re-open the Breadcrumb app permissions and verify the project is selected, then save again. After that, wait for the next sync window.

The project appears, but people or roles are missing

What to check

  • Confirm the correct directory sync settings are enabled and that required user/role fields in Procore are set up correctly for syncing.

What to do

  • Ask your Breadcrumb support contact to help confirm your Procore directory and role permissions are configured correctly.

I can’t access app permissions in Procore

What to check

  • You may not have the required Procore admin permissions to manage installed apps.

What to do

  • Ask a Procore Company Admin to complete the steps above.

Why this matters

  • Breadcrumb can only sync projects it is explicitly allowed to access in Procore when manual project selection is used
  • Ensuring the right projects are permitted prevents missing sites, incomplete directory syncing, and gaps in downstream syncing
