Permit Report: View Permit Records

Use the Permit Report to locate a specific permit submission and open its read-only record view, which may also provide access to a PDF export. This allows you to review the submitted information, check who submitted it, and confirm the permit’s current status for audits, follow-up, and general record verification.

What this means

  • The Permit Report is a register (table) of permit submissions.
  • A Permit Record is the detailed, read-only view of one permit submission (often opened in a modal) where you can review details and access the PDF.

When you’ll use this

  • You need to review the full submitted permit without editing it.
  • You need to download or view the permit PDF for compliance checks or sharing internally.

Step-by-step

    Common issues

    Permit record won’t open

    Check what to do

    • Confirm you have the right permissions for viewing permit registers and records.
    • Try opening the permit by clicking the row instead of View PDF (or vice versa).

    What to do

    • If it still fails, log out/in and try again.
    • If the issue is consistent for multiple permits, escalate to your internal support/ops team with the company/site context and the approximate time it occurred.

Can’t find the permit you expect in the report

    Check what to do

    • Confirm you are in the correct company/site context (if applicable).
    • Check filters (status/date ranges) aren’t excluding it.

    What to do

    • Clear filters and try again.
    • If the permit is brand new, allow a short delay and refresh the report.

    Why this matters

    • Helps site and compliance teams verify exactly what was submitted, when, and by whom.
    • Makes audits and incident follow-ups faster by providing a single record view and PDF export.
