Registers
This article explains what Registers are in the NextGen UK interface and where to find them. Use it when you need to view site activity, compliance records, or document submissions in an organised list.
What this means
- Registers are lists of records in NextGen (like a live log or database view) that let you search, filter, and open individual record details.
- Registers exist at two levels:
- Company level (global across the company)
- Site level (only for one site)
When you’ll use this
- You need to find a specific record (a permit, induction, attendance entry, or document submission).
- You want to filter to see what’s pending, accepted/approved, expiring, or recently submitted.
- You need a clear view of what’s happening on one site vs across the whole company.
Common registers available in NextGen
You can generally access these at both company and site level:
- Sites
- Attendance
- Inductions
- Companies (subcontractors)
- Cards
- Permits
- Form Submissions
- Company Docs
Common issues
I can’t find a register I’m used to in Classic
What to check
- Whether that workflow is supported in NextGen yet
What to do
- Some tools still live in Classic for UK (for example: evacuations, site briefings, host check-in, and host site alerts). If it’s not in NextGen, use Classic for that workflow.
I can’t export data from a register
What to check
- Whether the register supports CSV export in NextGen
What to do
- CSV exports may not be available in NextGen yet. Use Classic if you need CSV exports.
Why this matters
- Registers are the fastest way to find, verify, and audit site and compliance activity.
- Knowing the difference between company-level and site-level registers helps you avoid missing records or searching in the wrong place.
