Reporting on Insurances
How to find, review, and monitor supplier insurance documents across your workspace
What this means
- Insurances are treated as a type of Supplier Document in Breadcrumb.
- The main place to report on them is the Supplier Document Report, filtered to Document Type = Insurances.
When you’ll use this
- You need a list of all insurance documents uploaded by subcontractors.
- You want to see which insurance documents are expired or nearing expiry.
- You want to confirm an insurance document exists (and what its expiry date is).
Step-by-step
Common issues
No insurance records are showing
Check what to do
- Confirm you’re in the correct company/workspace.
- Clear other filters first, then re-apply only Document Type = Insurances.
What to do
- If there are still none, it may mean insurances haven’t been enabled or collected for that company yet.
Hosts aren’t getting expiry notifications
Check what to do
- Confirm the Expiry Report is configured under Company Settings > Suppliers > Supplier Document Configuration.
- The expiry report only sends to users who:
- have an email on their profile, AND
- are a site host with “Has All Permissions”.
What to do
- Set the Expiry Report schedule (daily/weekly/monthly) and ensure it’s filtered to Insurances if you only want insurance expiries.
Why this matters
- Expired insurance can create compliance and access risk on jobsites.
- A single filtered report makes it easy to audit insurance status across suppliers and projects.
