Send a Quick Onboarding Invitation to Suppliers (Recommended)

A Quick Onboarding invitation is useful when you want a supplier to receive a simple link to upload required documents and complete onboarding tasks without being given full supplier portal access. This option is designed to streamline the process and is typically the fastest way to get a supplier started.

What this means

  • Quick Onboarding sends a supplier an email invite with a link to upload requested documents and access the offsite QR code (to share with their workers ahead of arrival).
  • It’s designed for speed and simplicity (great for getting RAMS, COSHH and insurances in quickly).

When you’ll use this

  • You need a supplier to upload documents before arriving on site or share with them the offsite QR code.
  • You want to resend an invite because the supplier didn’t complete onboarding the first time.
  • You don’t need the supplier to have full portal access (viewing multiple sites, activity reporting, etc.).

Step-by-step

Common issues

The supplier says they didn’t get the email

What to check

  • The email address is correct.
  • That the supplier contact has checked junk/spam or a shared inbox quarantine.
  • The invite was actually sent (last sent date and time is available).

What to do

  • Resend the Quick Onboarding invite, and ask the supplier to whitelist Breadcrumb emails or have their IT release the message if it’s quarantined.

I can’t send the invite

What to check

  • You may not have the correct permissions for Supplier Management/Onboarding.

What to do

  • Ask a company admin to update your permissions, or have someone with Supplier Onboarding access send the invite.

Why this matters

  • Quick Onboarding reduces delays by letting suppliers upload required documents early, which helps issues when they arrive on site on Day 1.
  • It also reduces manual follow-up because the supplier gets a direct link to complete what’s needed.

Need help?

If you’re unsure whether to use Quick or Full Onboarding, use Quick Onboarding for “just get the docs in” scenarios, and use Full Onboarding only when the supplier needs broader portal-style access and ongoing visibility.
