Where do I find my Site QR?
This article explains where to find the site QR code in the NextGen UK interface. Use it when you need the QR code that workers scan to check in on site.
What this means
- Your site QR is the QR code workers scan at the gate/entry point to start the check-in flow for that specific site.
- Some sites use a standard (static) QR, and some sites use a rotating QR that refreshes regularly.
When you’ll use this
- You’re setting up site signage at the entrance.
- A QR poster needs to be reprinted or replaced.
- Workers are asking where to scan to check in.
Step-by-step
Common issues
I can’t find the QR option in NextGen
What to check
- You are in the correct site (not the company-level view)
- You have site-level permissions to view site resources/tools
What to do
- Ask a site admin to confirm your access, or to provide the QR code for that site
Workers get “invalid QR”
What to check
- Whether the site is using a rotating QR on a display screen
- Whether that display screen has lost internet and stopped refreshing
What to do
- Reload the rotating QR display page so it generates a fresh code
- If this happens often, review whether the rotating QR validity duration is too short for your site’s check-in/induction time
Why this matters
- The site QR is the fastest and most consistent way to get workers checked in correctly.
- A working QR setup reduces delays at the gate and improves attendance accuracy.
Need help?
If you can’t locate the QR code in NextGen or workers are consistently seeing invalid QR errors, contact your site admin to confirm whether rotating QR is enabled and ensure the site’s QR display method is set up correctly.
